Old Wives' Tales

Being pregnant is definitely teaching us a lot! We've been reading a great book entitled Your Pregnancy Week by Week. Last week it covered old wives' tales. Some we'd heard, and some I couldn't imagine ANYONE ever believing. Hope they bring a little laughter to you today as they did to us.

• A lot of heartburn means the baby will have a full head of hair.
• Refusing to eat the heel on a loaf of bread means you're having a girl.
• Dangling a wedding ring over your tummy indicates the sex of the baby.
• Your baby will have a hairy birthmark if you see a mouse while pregnant.
• Eating berries causes red splotches on the baby's skin (JP said his mom must have done that one..remember is birthmark on his forehead?)
• Your baby will be cross eyed if you wear high heels.
• Craving greasy foods means your labor will be short.
• ???These are just a few. Feel free to share more wisdom if you have it!

SO...as long as a I have lots of heartburn, refuse to eat bread heels, not look for mice, stay away from berries, refrain from high heels, and crave greasy foods I will have the baby of my dreams?
