Southern Living: Chapter 5

Goodbye.  The word has to be said too often when it comes to the journey He has called us to live.  Usually it applies to those we leave in America.  But this chapter of Southern Living included Sookie saying goodbye to all of her playmates in our Indian complex whom she played with daily.  Before we left, at least 5 kids were stopping by daily to see her.  2 older girls came to walk her every evening around 6 and she continued to be a SPLASH!  Several of the children made a card for her so she would never forget their friendship and love.

 Goodbye.  The word had to be said to Sookie from us as she headed back to South Carolina after our drive to Missouri for the second half of our time in America.  For many reasons, we had decided to leave her with Mom and Dad Mayfield rather than keeping her with us in India.

Sookie, you have been the best dog a family could ever ask for!  Everyone loved you wherever you went, you protected us, made us feel special with every entrance we made in the house, and impressed with all your tricks in English and Hindi!

And now, a new life full of new adventure!  A big back yard.  Birds you can finally chase again.  Cooler temperatures.  Birthday parties with Papa as you share the same day!  And many more family members to love you!
