We had a wonderful time in South Carolina for Christmas. It is always such a blessing to be with family that we are so far away from. We went to see Christmas lights and it was fun to watch our nephews, Jack and Colin, get excited about all the festivities. And of course Mom's southern cooking is always a treat. You haven't tasted nothin till you've tried Mom's chicken-n-dumplins and apple turnovers. Some of our main events included: watching Sookie survive/play/bully with a Great Dane and Greyhound, vegging out with the "Christmas Story" 24 hour marathon, and, screaming at the Carolina Gamecocks for losing to the Clemson Tigers. Good grief! We also visited a new church in Anderson called New Spring. At first we thought we were at a rock concert with all the banging on trash cans, lights, and loud heart beating music. But the Holy Spirit reminded us that He works and moves in many ways. As we began worshipping and listening to the message, our hearts were flooded with His love and grace. We learned in completly different ways and got to see a new perspective on incorporating technology, scripture, and humor. Our Lord is SO creative! Happy Birthday Jesus!
