Many of you have asked this very question. A friend recently commented that in the next few years, half of all the doctors in the world will be Indian. This is one of the many reasons we have chosen to have our child/children in India. Also, when I lived in India before, I had 2 separate surgeries/hospital stays. We believe one of the reasons for this was for the Lord to teach me then to trust Him and trust the facilities in this country for future hospital visits.
We have found a great facility called The Cradle (see link in Home Family Connections on the left side) where we will be delivering our child in August. It is about 15 minutes away from our home and is very nice. There are 3 different types of suites we can choose from. All of them include a flat screen tv and accomodations for both JP and I. They also have 2 wonderfully equipped LDR rooms that have flat screens in them as well. The doctor's services have been equivalent to anything we would experience in America, but less than half the price! Consulation with the doctor costs 300 rupees each time we visit which is a little over $5.00. Our doctor has had much experience with foreigners and speaks perfect English. The technician who did our last ultrasound is currently in New York at a 3 mos conference/training.
We share all of this to say, that we know He has called us here and that He will take care of us. Plus, we have a lot of confidence in the services at The Cradle. We are thankful for this and wanted to share with you how He has blessed us.
