We have finally found it!! 1503 Mesua Building-Tower 2 in UniWorld Gardens. With so many of you lifting us up in this situation, we have a landlord that was totally fine with us getting a personal lease, paying in cash until we can get a bank account, and only asked us once why we were here. It was a great meeting and we praise HIM from whom all things are given! Above are pictures of our building, the outside of our lobby, and our front door on the 15th floor. OUTSIDE AREAS
There are many grassy areas for Sookie to play (when she comes in February), a fitness club with a gym, "unique" colorful artwork, and a pool+ jacuzzi. The picture of the pool is not the best as the guard sitting near it would not let me come in and really did not want me to take a picture of it either. In my best Hindi, I told him that I live here and that I just wanted to take one picture for my mommy. He slowly nodded his head. Oh well!
INSIDE OUR HOME
When you first walk in, you enter into a large living/dining room with a very LARGE interesting light fixture. There is balcony off of the living area and a built-in hutch.
Here's our kitchen! It may not seem like much, but let me just take a few minutes to explain all the great features that most Indian kitchens don't have that ours does. We have a double sink, a venti-hood above where our gas stove will go, gas hook up on the side of the cabinet instead of as gas cylinder, and lots of extra storage space and racks inside the cabinets.
The masterbedroom was definitely a plus in helping us make a decision. There is laminate hardwood flooring, built-in wardrobes, a balcony, and a great bathroom. We never thought we would get to have a double vanity and a bathtub in India. It's always fun to see how the Lord takes our expectations and surprises us with something dear to our hearts...a bathtub! You can also see our view from the balcony.
We have 2 more bedrooms that are very similar with attached bathrooms and balconies. I know that seems like a bit much, but attached bathrooms and balconies are very common here. There is also a hallway off of the kitchen with a small balcony and servants courters with a tiny bathroom.
We feel so blessed to not only have a house in the works, but to have a place that we are already so proud of. We sign the lease on Monday and will then begin the process of buying appliances and furniture. Again, thanks for your pr*yers. NOW, we have a place for you if you ever feel like coming on a trip!
